Where to send a notice

Copyright Agent, KOETA Inc., 195 Cannon Street East, Hamilton, ON L8L 2A7, Canada. Email: dmca@hirequay.com.

What a notice must contain

Your physical or electronic signature; the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the HireQuay message or file you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it (a link, message id or file id); your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

What we do

When a notice is complete we remove the content, record the removal, and tell the account owner. HireQuay encrypts message bodies, so we act on the identifiers in your notice and do not read other content to find it. Content under a legal hold is preserved and access to it is handled case by case.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed by mistake, send dmca@hirequay.com your signature; the content that was removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We forward it to them. We may restore the content after 10 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Canada

For notices under Canada's Copyright Act notice-and-notice regime, we forward a compliant notice to the account owner and keep the records the Act requires.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.
